As a non-profit organization dedicated to fostering the next generation of musical theatre performers, we are thrilled to announce that the "Next Step: The MTCA College Panel & Fair" is part of The MTCA Experience at the MTCA Festival.

We are excited to provide MTCA students, parents, and directors with valuable information about educational paths and higher education in the arts after high school. We pride ourselves on the fact that MTCA is more than a competition; it's a chance to build your confidence, hone your talent, and explore your future.

This MTCA Experience, now in its successful third year, has become one of our most highly attended events at MTCA, providing crucial guidance and inspiration to the hundreds of aspiring musical theatre students who attended the event.

Deciding on your next step after high school is a big decision, especially for students passionate about the arts. Our goal is to connect you with a wide range of educational options to help you find the perfect fit. Whether you're interested in a junior college program, a rigorous conservatory, or a comprehensive four-year university, you'll find diverse choices available to help you continue your artistic and academic journey.

THE PANEL DISCUSSION

This is the first event of the festival, scheduled to take place on Thursday. The event begins with a dynamic panel discussion led by our special guest college consultant, Scott Barnhardt.

The panel discussion features representatives from various

colleges and institutions. This is your opportunity to hear directly from admissions officers and faculty about their programs, what they look for in an applicant, and how to best prepare for your auditions and interviews. The panel offers valuable insights into the various types of programs and what to expect from an arts-focused college experience.

THE COLLEGE FAIR

Immediately following the 30-45 minute panel discussion, the college fair starts providing an opportunity for you to connect one-on-one with representatives from each school.

This is a crucial part of the MTCA experience. You can ask personalized questions, get a feel for the culture of each institution, pick up literature, and make essential connections that will help you in your college search. The fair is an invaluable chance to explore your options and plan for your next step.
